Star of the Sacred Heart Altar Cushion

Hand embroidered Sacred Heart cushion with star motif, made on plum velvet.

This piece is built around a red heart at the centre, surrounded by a layered star worked in gold and white beads. The beadwork is dense so it catches the light against the darker velvet.

It’s finished with a gold lace trim, which gives it a more structured, framed edge.

It took 13 hours+ to make, stitched entirely by hand.

Designed as a small cushion or soft textile object for display.

This is a one-of-one piece. I don’t remake designs, so once it’s gone, it’s gone.
