Boleyn in Triumph

Hand embroidered “B” wall hanging, inspired by Anne Boleyn, made on black velvet.

This piece centres on her initial, built up in dense gold beadwork so it catches the light and holds its shape. It’s quite structured compared to some of my softer pieces, with a more solid, almost architectural feel.

I finished it with three teardrop pearls at the base, referencing Tudor jewellery and court dress.

It took around 14 hours to make, stitched entirely by hand.

This is a one-of-one piece. I don’t remake designs, so once it’s gone, it’s gone.
