Boleyn in Fragment Heart Ornament

Hand embroidered Sacred Heart ornament with a fragmented “B”, made on black velvet.

This piece comes from my ongoing work around Anne Boleyn, focusing on how she’s remembered in fragments rather than as a whole.

The surface is intentionally uneven, with the beadwork and stitching left slightly irregular so the texture feels disrupted rather than polished. The “B” is broken up across the piece in gold thread and beads.

It took several hours to make, built up slowly by hand.

Designed to hang on a wall or hook.

This is a one-of-one piece. I don’t remake designs, so once it’s gone, it’s gone.
